Check-In/Check-out

The PineCrest Inn is a small inviting Maine Bed and Breakfast and dedicated to providing a comfortable and memorable stay, our policies ensure that all guests enjoy the very best experience possible, and your reservation is important to us.  Check-in is from 4-6 p.m. daily.  Earlier check-ins can not be accommodated without prior approval due to housekeeping schedules; if prior arrangements can be made, an early check-in fee will be applied.  For the security and safety of all, we do not leave keys at the door so any guest needing a later arrival check-in needs to make arrangements in advance with the Innkeeper.  We do try our best to accommodate you if we can in these matters.
For the comfort of all our guests, we also ask all guests to follow our "Quiet Time" each evening starting at 10 p.m. and before 8 a.m. in the common areas of the Inn.
Check-out time is prior to 10:30 a.m. on the day of your departure.

Cancellations

Due to our size, cancellations affect us greatly. If your travel plans change after your reservation has been confirmed, notice is required 14 days* in advance of your arrival date. Please contact the PineCrest Inn by phone at least 14 (fourteen) days prior to your arrival date in order to cancel your reservation and avoid being charged; no emailed cancellations will be allowed.

We understand that cancellations are often beyond your control but in the unlikely event that you must cancel with a 14 (fourteen) day or less notice, shorten your stay or check out early, you must take responsibility for your entire reservation. If we are able to re-book your room(s) with another party, a partial refund will be made. Due to processing fees, when a reservation is canceled regardless of the notice period or reason, all refunds are subject to a non-refundable $50 service charge per room.
*No shows are responsible for full payment of their entire reservation.
**For group reservations of three rooms or more, it shifts to a 30-day cancellation notice for any possible full/partial refund of your deposit.

We have decided that living with the presence of COVID-19 and its variants will/has become the normal for the unforeseen future as well as canceled flights, etc. so please make your traveling plans accordingly while understanding our policies during this time.
For peace of mind, we strongly suggest that you consider purchasing travel insurance when planning your trip.

Group Reservations

We request that you call in person when considering the PineCrest Inn for large groups. We may require a minimum night stay as well as cleaning and damage deposits. The number of total rooms may also be limited due to high impact seasonal periods. Please call us to discuss before making a group reservation for three or more rooms. If interested in booking a large group or lodging for a wedding party or reunion, all rooms in the Inn must be rented, and a housekeeping gratuity will be added.  Also note the 30-day Cancellation policy as mentioned above is firm.

Deposits

The deposit which is 50% of your stay will be charged at the time of your booking for all reservations. The remaining balance of your reservation will be taken within 7 days prior to your arrival date. If a guest wishes to use another credit card for the remaining balance, we would need to be informed of the change no less of 5 days prior to the guest's arrival date. Long term stays may be subject to a 100% deposit. Rates/policies are subject to change and vary during high impact periods and special requests.

Single Night Stays

We do our best to accommodate our guests but we do require a two-night minimum

No Smoking - No Pets - Children age 10 and older are Welcome

For the health and safety of all guests, the PineCrest Inn is a NON-SMOKING PROPERTY.
NO SMOKING, NO VAPING.  Smoking of any substance, e-cigarettes and vaporizers are all strictly prohibited inside the Inn and on outside decks, patio or anywhere on the PineCrest Inn property.
A $350+ surcharge (or more) will be charged to your card if any smoking or damage occurs in any room of the Inn where guests have smoked any substance/vaped with disregard for this policy. Be aware that if any distinct lingering smoke smell follows you back into the Inn, this policy still stands as it directly effects our rugs, curtains, linens and furnishings as well as our other guests.

We do understand that accidents happen so please inform us when it occurs. (Spilling of drinks, wine, lotion/creams, broken glass or beds, etc.) Please do not eat hot foods, pizza, etc. in your guestroom as grease or heat can damage duvets, linens and furniture to which you will be responsible for.  Any excessive damage that occurs from gross negligence or any disregard for our policies that results in any lost revenue, the relevant guest will be held financially responsible for the cost of all repairs and/or lost revenue.  (Please do not use room linens/guest towels to clean shoes, wipe up spills, etc., and believe it or not, DO NOT COLOR YOUR HAIR OR USE SELF-TANNERS in the Inn.  It can ruin paint, sinks, floors and of course, linens. Thanks!) Please ask for an old towel or cloth if needed. Just please respect the Inn as it's our home that we share with you!

Also in regard to the the Inn's age and Fire Codes, we request that you do not use candles/open flame in any room.
(Battery-operated candles are a good substitute!) Also please do not hang anything from the Sprinkler heads or pipes.

No firearms and/or ammunition are allowed inside the Inn at any time.
Please keep them safely secured in your car.

We do have two resident dogs that live in the Innkeeper's Quarters and in their designated outside area but sadly we DO NOT accommodate any guest pets on the premises.  Luckily there are several boarding facilities nearby.

The PineCrest Inn welcomes well-behaved children ages 10 and older.  If more than one guestroom is needed for your stay, an adult must accompany each room with the child.  Children must be accompanied when inside the Inn at all times.
Please contact us for help with booking a reservation to comfortably accommodate your party as certain guestrooms are limited in occupancy.  Please note our additional per person charge when making your reservations.
